A big step forward for the heart of women !
On Tuesday, the 30th of September 2014 the first scientific council was presented in the prestigious meeting room of the Institut de France, in order to define the research programmes on cardio-vascular diseases of women. This event took place under the honorary presidency of Monsieur Gabriel de Broglie, Chancellor of the Institut de France, and of Professor Jean-François Bach, Standing Secretary of the Academy of Science.
Among those taking part were numerous journalists, donators and the loyal allies in the fight of the President-Founder, Madame Danièle Hermann, who listened attentively to the great engagement of the scientific council, composed of the most eminent researches, clinicians and members of the Acadamy of Science.
Chaired by Alain-Jacques Valleron, Professor in epidemiology at Pierre et Marie Curie Hospital, the speakers of the scientific council and among them: Professor Jean-Nöel Fabiani, Professor Roques and Professor Catherine Llorens-Cortes, all asserted the urgency of an equal research which takes into account the heart of women in fundamental and clinical research, but also in terms of responsibility and prevention. This wide programme is supported by the collective intelligence serving now too for the case of the feminine heart.
Whereas one woman out of three dies from a cardio-vascular disease, it was high time that a research was created forgetting the sex of diseases and considering the heart of women in its singularity and its wholeness. This innovation didn’t escape the big medias, because even Claire Chazal has presented this scientific step forward, the first of its kind in France and Europe on the 28th of September 2014 in her news hour at 8.30h pm
The 30th of September 2014 was without any doubt an important day for the equality of the heart !
